Tom McGeown: Product Specialist, Car Transporters & Minibus

We have some exciting internal news to share! Please join us in congratulating Tom McGeown on taking on an expanded role within the AKFS team. Tom, who has been a valuable asset to our team in Car Transporters, is now adding Minibus Sales to his portfolio.

This expansion is great news for our customers, as Tom's expert knowledge will now cover two key product ranges. We are confident he will bring the same passion and dedication to our Minibus contacts. 

Tom's Background and Expertise

Tom McGeown joined AKFS as a Product Specialist, bringing with him a decade of experience within the automotive industry. Before joining the commercial vehicle conversion sector, he worked in car sales and spent time with a prestige brand. He then gained experience in the commercial vehicle market, working with Volkswagen as a Business Development Manager. This established background in both retail and commercial automotive sales gives him a deep understanding of customer needs and the journey of a vehicle purchase.

Responsibilities and Product Focus

In his role as Product Specialist, Tom focuses on providing expert guidance and tailored solutions across his product ranges.

Car Transporters

Tom manages the full spectrum of AKFS car transporters. This includes everything from the Ultra 3.5-tonne open car transporter up to the 7.2 tonne enclosed car transporter, covering all the variations in between.

The diversity of the car transporter industry is something Tom finds particularly interesting. 

Tom ensures that customers receive vehicles with the correct specifications and requirements for their specific needs, guaranteeing that whether it is a lightweight recovery vehicle or a fully enclosed prestige carrier, it is Built Without Compromise.

Expanding to Minibus Sales

Tom’s responsibilities now include the Minibus product range. This means customers looking for specialist Minibus solutions, from crew buses to wheelchair accessible transport, will benefit from his consultative and detailed approach to product specification and customer service. This expansion allows AKFS to further integrate our specialist sales expertise across key product lines.
